The Festival of Wine, Women and Song features a series of intimate vocal performances from our very own women of song. The venue is a pop-up theatre, right in the heart of Geelong’s CBD. Spread over four weekends, there are twelve fantastic shows for you to attend.
The festival is proud to be showcasing local artistes, celebrating the talents of these marvellous female vocalists who have experienced success all over the world, yet still call Geelong “home.”
The festival also supports emerging talents from the area with the various supporting acts performing, sourced from the local music theatre scene.
Organised by local musician and performer, Andy Pobjoy, the Festival of Wine, Women and Song aims to create performance opportunities, promote the performing arts in Geelong, and to breathe some life into the once-bustling CBD of Geelong.
The Festival which is only in its first year, has received no funding, and is funded purely from ticket sales. Spread the word and buy tickets to multiple performances. Enjoy the music of local performers and celebrate the local music scene.
Festival of Wine, Women and Song will be held from 15 May 2015 to 7 June 2015 at Vacant Shopfront, Central Geelong Moorabool Street, Geelong.
